About the role

The Senior Manager, Industry Growth has overall responsibility for driving growth within a designated industry vertical. 
The role is a player/coach and expected to lead the acquisition of new designated industry vertical partners and clients and uncover and cultivate new high value opportunities. 

The Senior Manager, Industry Growth will have direct management and accountability of assigned Partner Managers and will lead virtual squads comprisingBusiness Development Executives to manage, maintain and grow Tyro’s clients and partners within their designated industry vertical. 

The Senior Manager, Industry Growth will collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Solutions Design & Development etc.) to ensure any barriers to growth are addressed, and that the team is leveraging the full potential of Tyro and its product suite to maximise commercial opportunities within their designated industry vertical. 

What you'll do

  • Establish and execute an effective growth strategy for the designated industry vertical to deliver consistent growth in new partners and partner activation, to deliver application and transaction volume, and growing the overall hospitality “partner ecosystem”. 
  • Accountability for executing this strategy, including achieving the identified success metrics, including but not limited to: 
  • Identifying and signing key strategic channel partners. 
  • Identify high growth potential partners within the current partner portfolio. 
  • Activating channel partners to drive lead growth. 
  • Conversion of lead volume to achieve application and transaction volume targets. 
  • Drive greater adoption of multiple Tyro APIs (e.g. Pay API). 
  • Collaborate with integration support, sales/business development, and product teams to assist with the execution of the strategy and achievement of growth targets. 
  • Effectively maintain and update pipeline in SFDC. 
  • Uphold and contribute to Tyro’s strong risk culture by complying with our policies, completing mandatory training and identifying and managing risks within your day-to-day work

What you'll bring

  • 10 years+ Business Development experience 
  • Deep understanding of intermediary sales methodology 
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate and engage well with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Strong ability to quickly articulate current situations and to manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Proficient in using Salesforce or other CRM/sales systems. 
  • Organised, self-motivated and adaptable, with a professional attitude 
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced team environment 
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills across multiple communication mediums 
  • Comfortable working with Cross-functional teams
