Working Student - Footprinting

THE ROLE 

We are currently looking for a working student in the Footprinting team who will be expected to help the team deliver high-quality, metrics-based consulting services to our clients across Germany. This particular role will focus on the Fashion and Sporting Goods Sector.

 
Your main responsibilities will be to: 

• Assist in technical projects and support our consultants to reliably deliver error-free analyses 

• Work alongside our team on various projects, employing our standard offerings to deliver impactful solutions.

• You’re motivated to put your academic knowledge to work towards our mission of aligning businesses with Planetary Boundaries. 

• You have a science-based orientation, and a deep intellectual and business curiosity, combined with strong interpersonal skills. 

• You have a strong interest for sustainability, particularly in technical analysis, data management, or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). 

• You are able to collect, process, manage and interpret data, presenting it in a form understandable to audiences with various levels of knowledge on sustainability. 

• You are eager to learn and motivated for teamwork and supporting a team.  

• You are currently enrolled at university (Master’s) with a focus on sustainability (e.g. environmental engineering, chemistry, agricultural studies or any other scientific field of studies) 

• You have a very good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 

• You’re fluent in English and German (min. C1).
• Experience or knowledge relating to the textile industry or fashion and sporting goods is a plus.

AS A WORKING STUDENT, HERE’S A PREVIEW OF WHAT TYPE OF WORK YOUR DAYS WILL INCLUDE: 

• Supporting a variety of quantitative and qualitative analyses, such as life cycle assessment (LCA); corporate and/or product footprinting (carbon, water, other); climate impact reduction scenario modelling; and others 

• Collaborating with the project team to help them develop customized solutions to address clients’ sustainability-related challenges and to develop client recommendations Contributing to the development of databases 

• Supporting client interactions to advance projects and to generate and communicate solutions. 

• Preparing clear and compelling reports and presentations of analyses, results, insights, and recommendations, to support the project team’s communication to clients.  

• Supporting the project team in helping the clients in their understanding and implementation of solutions.

• Berlin with some flexibility for home office 

• Contract type: 20 hours/week (Werkstudent Vertrag)  
• You must be enrolled at university
• Fluency in English and German (C1 min.) is required
