2025 Summer Internship - Algo Trader

This internship is based in our Chicago office.

Founded more than 15 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 350 people operating throughout North America and in Europe. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

Overview:
As an Algo Trader Intern, you'll work within our trading teams to build low latency trading algorithms and systems that will make a direct impact to DV’s bottom line. Through your work and other development opportunities, you will grow your technical skills and understand how our technology stack empowers our firm to serve our trading teams.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with C/C++ programming language
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, JavaScript
• Strong working knowledge of standard data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns
• Experience developing in Linux environment with GCC
