QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our Kyiv team, this role will report to Team Manager, R&D.

Our QA Engineers are essential for upholding product quality, enhancing user experience, supporting continuous improvement, and mitigating risks. By fulfilling these responsibilities, our QA Engineers contribute to the overall success and reputation of Similarweb in the competitive digital market intelligence space.

So, what will you be doing all day?

• Execute manual and automated tests to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
• Identify, document, and prioritize software defects, and work closely with development and support teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality and stability of software releases.
• Conduct regression testing to validate software changes and updates.
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during testing.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the overall quality assurance efforts of the team.

This is the perfect job for someone who:

• At least 3 years of proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer
• Proficient in designing and executing test cases for web-based applications.
• Strong knowledge & understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Familiar with HTML/CSS
• Good understanding of how Web Browsers work and using Dev tools
• Familiarity with agile development practices and tools 
• Advantage: Familiarity with Codecept Playwright
