Asana Program Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Asana Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of Asana-based project management solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing learning resources and interventions that drive better customer engagement, developing Asana enablement strategies, and managing project lifecycles. This role requires expertise in Asana customization, reporting, and automation, along with experience in both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies. The successful candidate will also lead change management efforts and build a community of practice (CoP) focused on knowledge management and peer learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Asana Enablement: Develop and implement Asana templates, workflows, and dashboards to enhance project visibility and enablement for teams and leadership.
- Program Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring clear goals, priorities, and strategic alignment are maintained throughout.
- Change Management: Lead efforts to train teams and facilitate a smooth transition to Asana, providing ongoing support and resources for successful adoption.
- KPI Management: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) using Asana reporting tools, providing insights on project progress, completion rates, and areas for improvement.
- Community of Practice (CoP): Build and foster a project management CoP by organizing knowledge-sharing workshops, peer learning opportunities, and maintaining knowledge management systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Asana into their workflows, and manage risks related to project delivery.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine and improve project management workflows based on feedback and performance data.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Asana Expertise: Deep understanding of Asana features such as task management, automation, templates, timelines, and reporting tools.
- Customization & Dashboards: Proven ability to customize Asana workspaces, create workflows, and build dashboards to provide leadership with project insights.
- Training & Transition: Experience training teams and supporting organizations in transitioning to Asana from other project management platforms.
- Agile/Scrum & Waterfall: Strong knowledge of both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Ability to manage projects from initiation to closure, with a focus on strategic clarity, goal-setting, and prioritization.
- Risk Management & Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing risks to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Change Management Leadership: Proven experience in leading change management initiatives for new tool adoption, especially Asana.
- Performance Metrics: Proficiency in tracking and analyzing KPIs using Asana’s reporting tools, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Tool Integration: Experience integrating Asana with tools like Slack, Jira, or Google Workspace to enhance functionality and collaboration.
- Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation skills to lead CoP workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Survey Tools: Familiarity with tools such as SurveyMonkey, Typeform, or Google Forms for capturing feedback on CoP effectiveness and Asana usage.
- Scalability: Ability to iterate and scale the CoP and Asana processes based on feedback and evolving needs.
- Community Platforms: Experience using platforms like Slack or Confluence to manage CoP discussions and knowledge-sharing activities.
