Job Summary:
Lead Instructors at Correlation One are responsible for delivering high-quality, live, virtual instruction and partnering with company personnel to drive exceptional learning outcomes. Their main focus as educators is to conduct large synchronous online lectures on technical content, training anywhere from 200 to 8,000+ diverse Fellows at a time, depending on the program. This role involves preparing and leading virtual classroom sessions, collaborating with operations personnel, and contributing to the overall success of the program.
Program Specific Information:
- Program launch date: September 30, 2024
- Lecture cadence: Weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:00pm - 2:30pm ET
- Program finale: April 9, 2025
Virtual Classroom Leadership:
- Prepare and lead virtual classroom sessions for a range of Fellows, which may vary in size from 50 to 8,000+.
- Deliver instruction on key concepts related to (insert program topic area) areas, tailoring content to match skills and interests.
- Oversee the management of class time Q&A and monitor chat flow, and overall class energy and engagement dynamics
Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with Correlation One operations personnel to ensure smooth program delivery and adherence to schedules.
- Be flexible in contributing to classes during weekdays and/or weekends, as program schedules vary.
- Assist in lesson design, development, and improvement which may include tracking edits, suggestions, or changes to curriculum as needed

- Diligently and adequately prepare for lectures to ensure the delivery of high-quality content.

- Be highly responsive and empathetic to Fellows, providing thoughtful answers and assistance throughout the lesson
- Adjust the lesson pace and presentation to meet the needs of diverse Fellows while also maintaining responsibility for timely delivery of the prepared content.
- Exhibit an energy, pacing, and ability to make complex topics accessible and maintain strong learner engagement
Communication:
- Communicate respectfully, recognizing that online or written communication may lack tone.
- Maintain extra communicative contact with Correlation One personnel.
Positive Attitude:
- Foster a healthy learning environment by maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a culture of learning.
Course Improvement:
- Contribute to course improvement by providing thoughtful and transparent feedback to the Correlation One team.
Who you are
- As the Software Tester Lead Instructor, you are a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in the field of software testing and QA. With a solid background in both theoretical knowledge and practical application, you possess a deep understanding of test automation tools and frameworks, development methodology, and programming languages..You are up to date on industry trends and have strong familiarity with widely recognized certifications. Your passion for teaching and mentoring is evident through your ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students of all levels. As a dynamic leader, you are committed to empowering the next generation of software testing professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in today's ever-evolving quality management landscape.
Your expertise
- 3-5 years of experience in software development, test automation, SDET, or QA roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a remote environment
- Experience training learners on foundational technical skillsets
- An excellent educator with a passion for teaching and helping others
- Outstanding team and people management skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, with hands-on experience in building test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and testing practices (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, API testing).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar.
- Certification in SDET or related areas (e.g., ISTQB, Agile Testing, AWS Certified Developer)
- English AND German, Spanish or Italian highly preferred
Where you are
- This role is remote and the ideal candidate will be located in Europe or the United Kingdom.
Compensation
- The compensation range for this position is specific to location and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include (but are not limited to) location, experience, education and skill sets. A reasonable estimate of the current rate for this position is $255-$340/lecture. Please note that the shared rate is specific to the United Kingdom and Europe.
