Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Java-based software developers and testers in the design, development, integration and support of enterprise applications and systems in a cloud environment
- Manage budgets and project planning to ensure successful project delivery to clients
- Lead teams to be more T-shaped
- Supervise performance and professional development for technical members of team
- Gather requirements and develop a business case for project portfolio management, including high level cost estimates
- Create Project plans, including budget, issues list, action items, and status reports as well as adhere to internal project methodologies and plan releases
Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of software development experience, with a broad understanding of application development and technical architecture in a cloud environment (Note: will not be coding but must be comfortable performing code reviews)
- 2+ years experience managing software development or SDET teams in a cloud environment
- Strong back-end experience in Java preferred (also open to .NET experience)
- Knowledge of AWS or related cloud technologies
- Must have experience building and developing teams of direct-report developers
- Offshore team management experience is a plus
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- PMP Certification preferred, or willing to obtain certification within 12 months of being hired
- Agile certified (SCRUM preferred)
