NFS is the premier provider of behavioral health services in six states. Our New York team is growing fast and looking for YOU!
Our LGBTQIA+ oriented team has fee for service and full-time openings available for Youth Peer Advocates on our PRIDE team. Help us realize our dream of creating a service-based delivery team that REFLECTS the PRIDE / LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY!
This PRIDE team will provide structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic interventions to the LGBTQIA+ community in a client’s home or in the office for the purpose of treating a youth’s behavioral health needs. The Youth Peer Advocate is someone who has self-identified as a person who has first-hand experience with social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges. They can use their lived experience with a disability, mental health challenge, substance use disorder and/or experience in juvenile justice, special education, and/or foster care to assist in supporting young people in their resiliency/recovery and wellness. We utilize multiple evidence-based practices that promote families in a culturally informed and competent way.
As part of the care team and under the direction of licensed clinicians, Youth Peer Advocates work collaboratively with clients to help them access their core strengths to be their best selves and realize their full potential, utilizing a variety of approaches such as individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy. JOIN US AND MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, ADULTS, OR FAMILIES!
