Scott Family Amazeum hire a Website Lead Intern to
play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the museum's online presence, ensuring an engaging and accessible website that supports strategic marketing, communications, and guest services initiatives.
This role will be integral to creating and maintaining a user-friendly, visually appealing, and secure website that enhances the museum’s mission and fosters engagement with diverse audiences. The Website Lead will balance creative design principles with technical expertise, providing ongoing website optimization and ensuring alignment with museum initiatives.
About Scott Family Amazeum: is a hands-on, interactive museum in Northwest Arkansas and recognized as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. We create a fun environment where risk taking, imagining, problem solving, discovery, collaboration, and exploration bring children and adults together to learn and grow.
Amazeum Mission: To engage the imagination of children and their families through interactive exhibits, programs, and resources while creating an excitement for lifelong learning and the enrichment of lives. Through experiences with the Amazeum, individuals and the community are engaged in building relationships and developing identities as creative, curious, and innovative shapers for the region.
Responsilbilites:
- Oversee the website's daily operations, including updates, performance monitoring, and content
- Collaborate with museum departments to ensure the site aligns with strategic goals and branding Manage and optimize website user experience (UX) by improving navigation, content accessibility, and overall functionality.
- Implement and monitor Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to enhance visibility and manage web analytics to track user engagement, website traffic, and growth metrics.
- Ensure website security by conducting regular audits and updating protocols.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hosting, development, and security management.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with IT teams to address functionality or security breaches.
- Improve website performance and implement strategies to enhance the user journey and interaction.
- Stay current with digital trends and recommend updates or new technology to enhance the site
What Skills Does an Ideal Candidate Have?
- 1+ years of experience managing websites
- 1+ year experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), HTML, CSS, and SEO best practices Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks and projects
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Our Must Haves:
- Current Arkansas state resident
- Ability to pass a standard background check
- Ability to work 36-40 hours a week
- Ability to work full-time in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship
- Technical aptitude exhibited through projects, experience, or online learning and the ability to communicate what you know
Details:
- Pay: $15/hour
- Schedule: 40-hour week: typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Length of Internship: 3 months with the potential of being hired on for a part-time position
- Location: Onsite in Bentonville
