The Organizer or Senior Organizer is responsible for planning and implementing the next year in our four year strategy to engage more Calgarians in municipal issues. On the heels of a successful election last fall, this role will build on growing momentum and help deliver a progressive voice and agenda at city hall.

  • Design and execute strategies that push city council to deliver on progressive politics and values.
  • Develop acquisition, engagement and mobilizing plans to deepen relationships and grow engagement with supporters.
  • Work with our in-house team to deliver impactful creative, paid media, social media, web, and digital and field organizing campaigns, tactics and deliverables.
  • Build and train a volunteer base that can hit the ground running in the 2025 election to elect a majority progressive city council in Calgary.
  • Work collaboratively with a campaign coalition, allies and supporters to strengthen relationships and build movement capacity.
  • Organize and attend virtual and in-person events to engage stakeholders and community members and build the campaigns’ awareness and reputation in the city.
  • Analyze campaign performance, and provide strategic recommendations.



  • A community organizer or campaigner with strong people skills and familiarity with the latest field and digital organizing strategies and tactics.
  • Have held a related role in a political, labour, non-profit, NGO or progressive organization; or have related experience in movement building and/or issue-based campaigning; or have comparable experience in an adjacent sector paired with strong knowledge of the progressive political landscape in Calgary.


  • Based in Calgary or surrounding region
  • Able to work occasional flexible hours on evenings and weekends as needed



Founded in 2009, Point Blank Creative is a national full-service agency working to unleash the power of progressive movements by bringing together best practices in traditional advertising, digital, and community organizing. We work with movements and causes we care about, with a particular focus on the labour movement, electoral politics, health care, and issues of economic, social, and environmental justice.

Salary is commensurate with experience and expected to be in the range of $60,000 - $85,000.
