The Role:

The Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager will support the financial reporting process, technical guidance, and accounting policy development for Dailypay’s Accounting team. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting.  This role will be based in our HQ-NY Office.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements presented in accordance with SEC/US GAAP guidelines
  • Assist the broader accounting team with the monthly financial close process, including review of account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Maintaining accurate supporting analysis and documentation across various complex accounting areas including equity and stock-based compensation, internally developed software, intangible assets and other long-lived asset impairment, revenue recognition, leases, and foreign currency transactions
  • Research and analyze non-routine and complex technical accounting issues, prepare accounting memos documenting accounting positions taken, and assist in the creation of ‘audit-ready’ workpapers supporting the related journal entries
  • Provide insight into accounting or financial reporting implications of various contracts and business arrangements, supporting our FP&A team and broader organization as needed
  • Keep up-to-date with new accounting and disclosure requirements, and provide communication and training to the broader Finance department
  • Lead the assessment and implementation of new SEC/US GAAP pronouncements, including evaluation of process or system changes to administer reporting requirements efficiently

Pay Transparency.  DailyPay takes a market-based approach to compensation, which may vary depending on your location. United States locations are categorized into three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The salary ranges are listed by geographic tier. Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation and stock options. Where a candidate fits within the compensation range for a role is based on their demonstrated experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
