Founded in 1965, ACLU-NC, an affiliate of the national American Civil Liberties Union, is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that stands as the state’s guardian of liberty – working in courts, the General Assembly, and communities to protect and advance civil rights and civil liberties for all North Carolinians. ACLU-NC brings together litigation, legislative advocacy, communications, and organizing strategies to empower communities and achieve our objectives in major issue areas including criminal law reform, racial justice, LGBTQ equality, reproductive freedom, and the rights of immigrants. With over 30,000 members and supporters across the state, the ACLU-NC has a staff of more than 20 people with a central office in Raleigh and a satellite office in Charlotte.
The ACLU-NC seeks a dynamic and innovative professional to serve as Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is based in our Raleigh, NC office.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Operations Manager position is internally focused and advances the affiliate’s mission by achieving these key objectives:
The Operations Manager must execute their duties with a high degree of emotional intelligence and collaboration. They are expected to bring critical thinking, strategic, and operational expertise to the team.

The hiring range for this position is from $57,000 to $65,000 depending on experience. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave, and professional development opportunities.
