AvantGarde, LLC (AG) seeks to engage a Strategic Workforce Planning Consultant will serve as a key contributor to the advancement and implementation of strategic HRM initiatives focused on workforce planning, business process improvement, and organizational effectiveness. This role involves applying expertise in human capital strategy, business process improvement, and change management processes to help organizations improve human capital capabilities for future-focused priorities. In addition, the Consultant may be involved in one or more of the following: strategic planning, workforce analysis and assessments, organizational and leadership development, change management planning, workforce readiness initiatives, competency assessment; talent acquisition strategy and management; and communications planning; Work can be performed remotely but some travel may be required to local and remote customer sites as project work dictates.
The WORK
- Serve as a subject matter expert in strategic workforce planning, developing a strategic approach to workforce management that combines insights from workforce analytics, human capital best practices, and business strategy.
- Lead and manage human capital development and business process improvement initiatives.
- Perform workforce analysis and assessments designed to identify and define issues, review and analyze data, and evaluate/document best practices.
- Conduct interviews and focus groups with employees, managers, and leadership associated with organizational or workforce assessments as needed to include developing protocol instruments.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify organizational needs, analyze operational effectiveness, and recommend development strategies.
- Analyze the current state, perform gap analysis, identify trends, and develop methodologies for project initiatives.
- Utilize analytics to monitor and report on the effectiveness of organizational development and human capital initiatives and workforce adjustments.
- Prepare and present data findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Articulate the resources and actions needed to close gaps or optimize organizations based on organizational assessment findings.
- Guide the organization through change initiatives, articulating the need for change and mapping out transition plans.
The REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Organization Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in management consulting with a focus on strategic workforce planning or human capital strategy in the public sector; or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. SWP Certification is a plus.
- Experience in advising federal clients on human capital management, with a strong background in strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Strong workforce analytics skills with a proven ability to conduct thorough assessments, identify issues, and formulate impactful solutions for government clients.
- Demonstrated experience in leading workforce planning initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing organizational structures and processes that align with strategic objectives.
- Extensive experience in managing change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and training strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas and core concepts to diverse audiences and secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in developing presentations and data visualizations.
- Flexibility and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
