We are part of a policy analysis firm that provides highly specialized, bespoke advice to a broad array of corporations. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with 2-5 years of work experience to help ensure successful client engagements by proactively meeting client needs and managing day-to-day client deliverables and relationships.  This is a business development position, with skills usually found in a corporate chief of staff, event organizer, fundraiser, congressional director of operations, or private wealth management executive.   

Our ideal candidate will be highly detail oriented, organized, and have a passion for policy, business, organizational management, and for solving problems.  Experience supporting senior leadership, principals, or executives is a must.  We want candidates who think strategically and proactively about how to best meet our clients’ needs.   

In this role, you will: 

  • Drive business development via relationship building, strategic lead generation, and proactive client management. 
  • Build relationships with senior level contacts at organizations by identifying pain points and proactively identifying how to address.  
  • Manage analyst marketing trips and client events, create, and prepare presentations, review logistics and coordinate with the internal and external teams. 
  • Facilitate proposals, negotiate prices, and prepare engagement letters for new clients and projects. 
  • Accurately maintain information in our CRM database and create actionable reports. 
  • Organize and reconcile client legal and compliance documents. 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Must be highly organized and extremely detail oriented 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, including coordinating schedules and diverse client needs. 
  • Interest in both policy and regulations in Washington, DC as well as the financial markets 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Salesforce or other CRM knowledge preferred 
  • Fundraising and/or experience on Capitol Hill preferred 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
  • Relevant work and/or internship experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, eligible to work without sponsorship 

Capstone offers a competitive benefits package, including health, vision, dental insurance, paid vacation, travel stipend and 401(k). The expected compensation for this role will be $80,000-$100,000 per annum with eligibility in Capstone's annual bonus pool.  

This position is based in our Washington, DC office. Capstone is in-person Monday thru Thursday with flexible work from home Fridays.
