CareerJig - Web Developer

As a Contract JavaScript Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. You will work closely with the founder and graphic designer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of JavaScript, web development best practices, and experience with modern frameworks and libraries. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into responsive, interactive web applications. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end components.

Requirements

Proven experience as a JavaScript Web Developer or similar role. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and AJAX. Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A portfolio of previous web development projects is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TypeScript. Familiarity with front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, NPM/Yarn). Understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques. Experience with server-side JavaScript (e.g., Node.js). Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Mocha).
