Overview
The Business Analyst will support the development and delivery of technical projects that improve the use of public health data to inform decision making. This role is aligned to the Workforce Acceleration Initiative (WAI). WAI is a federally funded CDC Foundation program with the goal of helping the nation’s public health agencies by providing them with the technology and data experts they need to accelerate their information system improvements.
Working within DC Health, Office of Health Informatics, Center for Policy, Planning, and Evaluation (CPPE) the Business Analyst will collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, ensuring effective communication, requirements gathering, user training, and change management, with a focus on public health data systems projects. Key responsibilities include coordinating efforts to integrate both current and new data from the Health Information Exchange (HIE) provider into the Health IT enterprise system, ensuring data harmonization and quality, as well as assuring that requirements are correctly understood by developers and facilitating alignment throughout the planning and implementation phases. The analyst will also coordinate requirements and ensure the quality and timely delivery of query reports and dashboards while ensuring user training and supporting change management to facilitate successful project adoption.
The Business Analyst will be hired by the CDC Foundation and assigned to the DC Health, Office of Health Informatics, Center for Policy, Planning, and Evaluation (CPPE). This position is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement for U.S. based candidates.
