This position is on our Client contract in support of the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Windsor Mill, MD.

ONLY US Citizen or Permanent Resident (full Green Card) candidates will be considered. No EAD or H1B candidates will be considered. Candidates must be on your payroll for this assignment.

We have an Java Developer position for one of our clients in Windsor Mill, MD.

This position requires 5-years of related experience and a BS degree.

Client will be making a decision based on a phone interview followed by in person or video/Skype interview. Candidates will be required to work onsite in Windsor Mill, MD. Local candidate are strongly preferred.

Key Required Skills:
The Sr. Java Software Developer, with 5-10 years of relevant experience, shall have extensive experience in software design, software development, program installations and system implementations.
Position Description:
Duties for the Sr. Java Software Developer include, but are not limited to:

Conduct research for, and maintain the computer systems and utilities for commercial and Government engagements.
Analyze customers' needs, design a quality proposal then develop these customized solutions to customer/user problems.
Develop general and detailed documentation describing system specifications and operating instructions; and revise existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective development processes, data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
Work productively as the sole developer on a project, and will be able to integrate with project teams.
Generate technical documentation, user documentation, white papers, and customer presentations as required.
Contribute to the analysis and determination of advanced technological ideas and the development into a final product.
Apply advanced technical principles, techniques, theories and concepts.
Contribute to the development of new principles and theories.
Support Client management and customers answering questions on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Provide innovative solutions to unusually complex technical problems.
Present design, concept, and architecture to internal and external audiences.
Execute practical application of Agile framework components (user stories, scrum, sprints, etc.)

Skills Requirements:

Required:

Solid Java/JEE background
Proficient in Spring Framework and Spring Boot
Proficient GIT background
Excellent logical thinking and problem solving skills
Proficient in full Java language and common libraries
Proven use of software methodologies and best practices
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to write technical documentation, user documentation, white papers, and customer presentations as required.

Desired:

AWS Cloud Computing experience
Web app frameworks: Struts 2, Spring MVC
Proven delivery of innovative solutions
Experience working on federal government contracts.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
