Client & Strategy Manager, 12 month fixed term contract (up to £42,000 plus commission)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to come and join a truly brilliant sales team and work on the UK’s largest food media brand, BBC Good Food which reaches 20 million adults a month, that’s 37% of all adults in the UK as well as olive, delicious and Easy Cook. Our brand touchpoints include print, digital, social, commerce, podcasts and live events so combined with our scale, breadth of audiences, trust, and authority we are relevant to every food brand in the UK.

It is a fun, fast paced environment and we are looking for a talented, driven, and strategic salesperson who understands the importance and benefits of a consultative approach with clients to understand their brand and sector challenges and turn those into opportunities for Immediate.

As Client & Strategy Manager you will use our market-leading brands to create and develop deep strategic relationships with sector-leading clients across Food & Drink that drive incremental business either direct, or through collaboration with our Agency and Partnership teams.

As Client & Strategy Manager you will;

  • Create and drive client direct revenues across the whole of IM
  • Rapidly scale the quality and depth of our client direct relationships
  • Play a pivotal role in driving significant revenue growth for both Food categories across the whole IM business
  • Develop, communicate and implement annual client strategies and regularly review progress with the Client and Strategy Team
  • Help to deliver strong B2B brand building through thought and category leadership
  • Play a key role in identifying and delivering commercial brand innovation and product development
  • Identify and communicate sector and market trends, new products and commercial revenue streams that will add value to the group and wider Immediate advertising business
  • Create a deep understanding, analysis and continuous monitoring of competitor sets, their ad revenue, client base and initiatives
  • Collaborate and communicate clearly with the wider IM ad business functions (Partnerships, Commerce and Trading) to ensure strategies, new products, opportunities, and limitations are clear and fully understood

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in media sales, agency planning or client side
  • Experience working for a food related brand or in the food media sector (preferential)
  • Experience in pitching and/or client management.
  • Excellent communications and presenting skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Google product suite
