Success in this role will involve producing accurate, commercially aware quotations promptly, ensuring strong relationships with our customers, agents, and distributors. You will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, maximising customer interactions, and supporting an outstanding customer journey. A solid sales background with a growth-oriented mindset and a drive to exceed sales targets is essential.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Quotations &amp; Pricing:</strong> Generate timely, accurate quotations for high volumes of products from our extensive portfolio, setting prices based on customer history and market conditions.</li><li><strong>Sales Conversion:</strong> Negotiate effectively to convert quotes into orders, process orders when necessary, and provide technical, customized solutions based on customer requirements.</li><li><strong>Customer Responsiveness:</strong> Maintain a target turnaround for quotations within 24 hours, 48 hours max.</li><li><strong>Workload Priorities:</strong> A<span dir="ltr">chieve quote volumes, target hit rates and boost upsell and cross-sell opportunities.</span></li><li><strong>Data Integrity:</strong> Ensure accuracy in data entry (SAP and CRM) for seamless internal operations and optimal customer service.</li><li><strong>Customer Experience:</strong> Foster positive interactions, upholding Cathelco’s reputation and customer satisfaction.</li><li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with Business Development Managers, share leads, and ensure aligned strategies across teams.</li><li><strong>Product Knowledge &amp; Compliance:</strong> Maintain strong knowledge of Cathelco’s offerings, legal and sanctions compliance, and adhere to the authorisations matrix for order accuracy and efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Sales Experience:</strong> Minimum of 3 years in sales of engineering products, preferably in a fast-paced industry.</li><li><strong>Customer Engagement:</strong> Proven experience managing agents, distributors, or direct customer accounts.</li><li><strong>Sales Aptitude:</strong> Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to customer needs.</li><li><strong>Self-Motivation &amp; Initiative:</strong> Energetic and inquisitive, with a natural drive for growth and a desire to exceed expectations.</li><li><strong>Collaboration &amp; Communication:</strong> Comfortable discussing project details over the phone, negotiating orders, and seeking guidance when necessary.</li><li><strong>Product &amp; Service Advocacy:</strong> Ability to convey key features and benefits of Cathelco’s products and services effectively.</li><li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with SAP and CRM databases is advantageous.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Cathelco?</strong><br>This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic, customer-centric team.
