The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for developing strategic insights in a collegiate business setting for LEARFIELD Amplify at Oakland Roots SC. This role will be responsible for mining customer profiles, analyzing behavioral data from multiple platforms and data sources (online transactions, phone transactions, alumni club donations, email response data, fan surveying and ticket sales) to support business decision making in product development, marketing strategy and email/marketing campaign targeting. This role will report directly to the General Manager, and will work closely with the administrative staff at Oakland Roots SC. This position is responsible for all data needs of the greater Oakland Roots SC administration while working closely with LEARFIELD’s business units.

 


Responsibilities: 

  • Performs on-going data analysis pertaining to the university's customer database, while maintaining, querying, validating the CRM and ticketing databases.
  • Help grow the email subscription base and drive segmentation strategy for email campaigns
  • Create and use statistical and predictive methods to perform analysis on large data compilations to find relationships and provide strategy for campaigns
  • Work closely with Marketing, Development, Ticket Sales and Ticket Operations to coordinate sales efforts and build, create and segment data
  • Implement visualization software to better understand data format and intricacies
  • Create and maintain a customer ranking system developed to maximize opportunities across all ticketed sports
  • Assist with developing processes for effective data analysis and reporting
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Ticket Sales & Service

 


Qualifications: 

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel – Vlookup) and predictive modeling (Python, R, etc.)
  • Knowledge of regression analysis and customer segmentation best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, create and present data-driven techniques to stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and improve third party vendor contracts
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concept
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Statistics, Economics, Business or other technical degree preferred

    Preferred:

  • Experience at a professional or college sports team
  • Experience with Ticketmaster/Archtics or Paciolan
  • Previous creation of Tableau dashboards or similar visualization software
  • Experience creating third party API connections and SQL queries
  • Exposure to ticket sales and fundraising environment
  • Knowledge of CRM administrative practices (Salesforce, MS Dynamics or similar)

 

 


 

Pay Transparency

The approximate base pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as geographic location.
