Software Delivery Engineer (DevOps)

Accountabilities

• Design and implement Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment pipelines for a range of projects and environments
• Leverages deep knowledge of modern software development practices to design effective pipelines to support software delivery
• Collaborates with scrum teams, Information Security, and test engineering to understand requirements and ensures pipelines create efficiency for the entire software development lifecycle
• Ensures required quality and security integration are appropriately integrated into all pipelines and coordinates licensing and utilization for pipeline tools with the Software Delivery Manager
• Create and maintain effective documentation on tools and pipelines
• The Engineer will create documentation on the architecture, setup and daily operation of CI/CD tools and services and maintain that documentation in an ongoing fashion to ensure that all stakeholders have access to relevant and useful information to support their use of those solutions
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for scrum teams
• The Engineer will be on call for requests for assistance from the various scrum teams leveraging pipelines built or supported by the engineer and will apply expertise both for consulting and hands-on troubleshooting/problem resolution
• Coordinate support activities with external vendors where required for problem resolution

General Responsibilities

• Participate in appropriate scrum ceremonies where appropriate
• Provide timely updates to management on open issues and projects
• Coordinate activities with Information Security and IT teams to ensure availability and security requirements are met consistently.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field or equivalent in work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps processes, CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation and quality engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in delivery automation for cloud-native services, preferably within AWS
• Experience working cross functionally in disparate geographies required
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
