An Accounting Manager at Breeze Airways will be responsible for managing core accounting processes, driving financial accuracy, and provide leadership to the greater accounting team. Your expertise in accounting principles, leadership, and financial management will help us maintain a competitive edge while ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity.

Here’s what you’ll do

• Lead the day-to-day accounting functions including review of journal entries and reconciliations, leading the monthly close processes, and identifying process improvements.
• Assist in presenting accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including Accounts Receivable, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead the financial audit, working with external auditors to facilitate effective communication between team members.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to protect the organization’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to management through detailed reports and presentations.
• Play an active role in reviewing the company’s position around technical accounting topics.
• Bring new fresh ideas and knowledge of accounting best practices and latest industry trends and assist in implementation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the accounting function and the broader financial goals of the company.

Here’s what you need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience and education.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• An energetic and positive attitude with a hands-on mentality.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Prior airline experience preferred.
