Role Summary
We are seeking a Chief of Staff to report directly to and support our CEO in key elements of operations and strategy.
As a Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will play a key role in contributing to and driving the operating rhythm of the company and will directly support, and manage the day-to-day priorities for the CEO. Key responsibilities include providing organizational and strategic support to the CEO, the executive team, acting as a liaison between the CEO and the executive team including coordination and management of board meetings, as well as facilitating internal communications to ensure connections are made on behalf of the CEO for both internal and external activities.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
The 3 main areas of responsibility include:
1. Process: Assess, redesign, and manage key corporate processes
2. People: Foster strong interdisciplinary collaboration across the organization
3. Projects: Facilitate cross-functional strategic initiatives. Own a set of projects that drive the business forward
1. Process. You will help develop processes for internal communications and decision-making. This includes optimizing meeting schedules, determining owners for key initiatives, and reducing organizational bottlenecks by helping executives delegate decision-making responsibility to the appropriate teams. They will also be responsible for collating and producing board meeting slides, setting agendas for key meetings such as all-hands, and helping institute quarterly and yearly planning processes across the organization.
2. People. You will meet regularly with interdisciplinary team members throughout the organization to discuss headwinds, tailwinds, and hot topics. They will look out for process inefficiencies and systemic problems and surface them to relevant people in the organization. They will also find areas that are working particularly well, and help determine how to further enable that success and/or spread learnings to other relevant parts of the organization.
3. Projects. You will have ownership over a portfolio of initiatives and ad-hoc projects, likely ones that require coordination across cross-functional teams of the business, which often lack a clear owner otherwise.
Genesis Therapeutics is unifying AI and biotech to discover novel and breakthrough treatments for patients with severe and devastating conditions. Genesis was founded on groundbreaking molecular ML research and since has established itself as the industry leader in AI for small molecule drug discovery. Our team of accomplished biotech leaders and expert drug hunters joins forces with deep learning researchers and software engineers who are pioneering predictive and generative AI technologies for molecules.
Our team has created the industry's most advanced molecular AI platform called GEMS (Genesis Exploration of Molecular Space), to accelerate and optimize small molecule drug discovery and to enable the discovery of novel first-in-class and best-in-class small molecule drugs for challenging and/or undruggable targets.
The company has leveraged GEMS to build an internal pipeline with multiple programs against high-value targets, including data-poor and canonically undruggable targets where GEMS is uniquely advantaged. In addition, Genesis has three AI platform collaborations across a range of therapeutic areas, with Gilead Sciences, Eli Lilly, and Genentech.
