What you will do

You will be part of a growing company in a dynamic environment where you can truly make an impact in shaping the Compliance department. The Compliance lead will be part of the Compliance team within the ACT Group and closely involved with ACT Financial Solutions B.V. (“ACT FS”), our fully licensed (MiFID II) investment firm established in January 2018. This position guarantees a profound exposure to a variety of financial regulatory areas. You will work with our traders and make sure to read up on, apply, and comply with relevant regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR and IFD/IFR. Main objective is to ensure our organization complies with internal and external regulation. We strongly believe a sound compliance culture can only be built when employees do not only adhere to the policies and rules, but also understand the context and intent of the regulation.

What you'll do

• Responsible for compliance reporting to the compliance director and the ACT FS management board
• Develop and maintain regulatory framework for ACT FS
• Perform regulatory impact assessments
• Develop new & review existing policies and procedures
• Ensure the business is up to date on legislation, regulation, and best practices
• Train employees on internal policies
• Provide compliance advise to various departments within ACT FS
• Develop compliance KPIs for the business
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews
• Assist with (external) audits
• Chair of the Risk and Compliance Committee ACT FS
• Inspiring and leading a culture of compliance

 

Who you are

• Master degree preferably in Law, Business Administration or Audit
• Proven success within 5+ years of experience in compliance field 
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English
• Understanding of MiFID II, EMIR, IFD/IFR and preferably Wwft
• Experience in an environment with supervisory authorities
• Proven ability of working with different stakeholders in an international environment
• A ‘hands on’ work style, comfortable with understanding the big picture while being able to dive into detail
