Junior Quality Controller

This full time position is based on site at our Athleague plant in Co. Roscommon. Duties will include:

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Junior Quality Controller will work in a team ensuring that the factory maintains its high levels of quality control and food safety through a process of data collection and monitoring. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory & statutory requirements.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Maintain the HACCP programme for the Business
• Have excellent communication skill and be able to communicate standards to other team members.
• Be Self-motivated, able to investigate, question and follow through on issues.
• Be able to manage own workload and work on own initiative
• Have good administration skills, with experience of using MS Office programmes

• Previous experience in the meat industry or Farming an advantage but not necessary
• Attention to detail is the main focus with a drive to ensure standards are upheld
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing practices (GMP) standards is an advantage
• Must be flexible and eager to learn
• Experience of animal welfare is preferential

• 1 to 2 years experience preferred but not essential
