Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join the Future Technology Group of PlayStation, as a Manager, Software Application Engineering at Product UX & Tooling. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of gaming and interactive entertainment!

 

What you’ll be doing:

You will mentor a team of five software engineers to deliver ground-breaking software products and developer platforms. To become successful, you will collaborate with senior management, design, infrastructure providers, engineering groups, and product management across the globe to develop and implement the product roadmap. Your focus should be on providing guidance to your team to create intuitive and appealing user and customer experiences, and to facilitate architectural decisions that improve our tech stack. That includes optimizing how we build APIs, web applications, and software platforms. Thriving in an environment with complexity is essential; you will need to navigate and lead through change, making informed decisions and fostering a resilient team culture.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bring 2 years or more of experience as a Software Engineering Manager.
  • Background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Application Development, or a related field.
  • Be available to sync with team members located in Europe several times a week.
  • Show expertise in TypeScript and at least one of Angular, React, or NestJS.
  • Proficient knowledge of software development lifecycle principles and software product management.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Ideally, you have experience in emphasizing cloud-native CNCF principles in software development.
  • Basic understanding in any of the following fields is a plus: business process management, software architecture, business intelligence, data engineering, quality assurance, test engineering, or project management.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. 

In addition, this role

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$179,300$268,900 USD
