Introduction:

The Corporate Risk Management & Insurance Senior Advisor role is responsible for providing insurance advice and risk management services to the Corporation and its affiliates around the world. This role has an international orientation for the administration of worldwide insurance programs, including but not limited to: Directors & Officers, Workers Compensation, Property, Real Estate, Product, Transportation and Shipping, Directors and Officers,  Auto and Cyber.  Most insurance policies are global in coverage with local policies where necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Search for continuous improvement of insurance programs while providing value for the company. Collaborate with business leaders and the Fleet Program Manager to implement improvement programs designed to reduce risk and claims volume.
  • Conduct annual negotiations, renewals, and placements of worldwide insurance programs, including but not limited to, Directors & Officers, Workers Compensation, Auto, Property and Cyber. Manage collection of worldwide underwriting data in support of all insurance renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with country and local laws, regulations, contractual obligations and internal controls: Administer all US OSHA reporting and compliance: Oversee and Manage all Workers Compensation Claims.
  • Manages quarterly claim reviews with key internal and external stakeholders and conducts annual insurance review with TGCS ELT/CEO. Creates Ad-Hoc reports and presentations to senior management, as needed .
  • Support annual insurance cost budgeting to ensure that business and finance department are made aware of future cost increases based on increases in risk, volumes, claims etc., to ensure proper financial forecasting and pricing for our products and service.
  • Provide guidance to all countries and business units on principles relating to risk management.
  • Oversee Data requests for certificates of insurance from procurement, business, legal and 3rd parties in support of compliance with vendor contracts. Maintain current schedule of insurance policies for both internal use and diligence requirements.
  • Review, process and reconcile all premium, broker fee and other risk management related invoices including set up of new vendors, development of PO’s, tracking of approvals and working with Accounts Payable to ensure timely vendor payments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Risk Management preferred. 
  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance including the following,
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with overseeing a global Property and Casualty insurance program.
    • Hands on experience managing vendors, insurers and brokers
    • Experience implementing risk management solutions to reduce claim volumes and cost
    • Experience with OSHA compliance regulations, program management and reporting
  • Adherence to the highest ethical standards
  • Bachelor’s degree- All majors considered, but risk management related major preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent administrative and organizational competencies, with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people across multiple countries and cultures
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven record of initiative and leadership; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Commercial outward-looking perspective
  • CPCU, Chartered Insurance Institute, or similar risk/insurance professional designation
