Job Description: General Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for functions in support of engineering activities. This will include, but not limited to, racking and relocating of equipment, installing cabling (Coax, Ethernet, and fiber optics), supporting base station equipment, and any other support activities required to support engineering.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities as defined by management to support engineering
Performing software and hardware upgrades
Installation of coax, Ethernet, and fiber optics cabling
Building racks and installing equipment following rack elevation diagrams
Able to work in priority order as defined by management and project leads
Assist with lab moves as well as cleaning and organization efforts
Required Competencies:
Understanding of basic electronics and RF signal propagation over coax
Basic understanding of TCP/IP including DNS and DHCP
Familiarity of Windows 10 and CentOS Linux
Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Ability to following instructions and published documentation
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
IT Certifications (Comp TIA A+, CCNA, ect)
Scripting languages
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform repetitive actions such as going up and down a ladder in the lab
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs over short distances
Education Requirements:
Electronics apprenticeship or trade school
Military communications, radar, IT or electronics schooling
