We are recruiting for a Home Health Aide (HHA) to reliably serve patients in Essex County in BAYADA’s ACSP Division. Our focus areas are Belleville, Bloomfield, East Orange, Irvington, Montclair, Newark, Orange, South Orange, and West Orange. 

What you’ll do: 

At BAYADA, we seek people who share our passion for caring and are committed to helping people live their best lives at home. As a member of our personal care and companionship team, you will do truly meaningful work—and be valued, respected, and heard. 

• Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care services, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home. 
• Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/Use of mechanical lifting devices/Hoyer lift)
• Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting,  etc.   
• Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.   
• Meal preparation and feeding 
• Range of motion/exercises   
• Medication reminders   
  

What makes you a great candidate (Requirements): 

• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Demonstrate the ability to read/write/and effectively communicate in English
• Active N.J. Homemaker-Home Health Aide license
• Social Security Number and Government Identification
• Verifiable work history
  • May include experience in retail, customer service, etc.
• (2) Professional References
  • Colleagues, peers, coworkers, etc.
• Ability to travel to clients' home as assigned
