Job Summary:

As a Vice President eCommerce Fraud, you will be responsible for developing and executing analytical based processes to detect ecommerce fraud attacks, analyze impact, determine effective prevention and mitigation, and monitor the performance of the ecommerce fraud risk ecosystem for all Wolfe & Companies LLC.  

You will conduct analysis relative to root cause evaluation and associated observed volumes, as well as financial and operational impacts with associated recommended remediation paths. You will also create fact and data-based insights, which will be used to inform and influence change across the organization. You will also mentor and manage a team of fraud analysts and partner with multiple departments across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute analysis for identifying new fraud attacks, detect attack signatures, and determine root cause of fraud events observed or attempted using data associated with accounts that includes both financial and non-financial data.
  • Experience working at a hands-on level with other groups like engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in building operations processes and systems.
  • Have hands on experience with fraud mitigation tools and an SME understanding of analysis and reporting.
  • Quickly source, analyze and deduce root cause and effective mitigation options consistently and accurately across the network.
  • Establish and monitor a robust suite of early warning monitors to systemically identify abnormal activity and possible precursor attack activity; produce monitors via dashboards and/or daily monitoring reports.
  • Perform trend analysis of losses over time and articulate drivers of loss to the team and management.
  • Effectively articulate and influence within the organization on actions recommended, based on insights derived from advanced analytics.
  • Establish and manage fraud ecosystem measures to monitor the effectiveness and performance of all fraud controls.
  • Present to leadership to show progress against strategic initiatives and articulate any variances.
  • Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
  • Owner of companywide fraud prevention policy and standards.
  • Design effective fraud prevention domain risk controls that ensure risks are proactively identified, actively managed, clearly quantified, and volatility risk measured.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for eCommerce Fraud Prevention – including product specific risks and data sources/uses.
  • Ensure fraud protections and security is maintained across fraud attempts/attacks and ensure remediation processes are built to protect Wolfe & Companies from reputational, operational, or financial loss.
  • Defined and establish monthly operating rhythm to monitor key performance indicators and report daily/weekly/monthly on those KPI’s.
  • Provide strategic vision and execution of fraud risk policy management.
  • Develop and manage communication channels and information-sharing forums including a central knowledge base, stakeholder updates, and leadership summaries.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision and sometimes tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of related work experience in Fin Tech, Ecommerce, and or fraud prevention.
  • Experience with Fiserv tools/reporting as well as Fintech industry standard fraud applications.
  • Experience mining complex datasets and generating reports leading to business understanding and recommendations.
  • Proficiency leading, coaching, mentoring, and manage teams.
  • Experience interacting and presenting complex concepts and outcomes to senior leaders and financial institution customers.
