Zantech is looking for a talented Cybersecurity Specialist / ISSO to provide the Information Assurance Manager’s (IAM) office with support and guidance through established Department of Defense (DoD) and Army policies and well as organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the IAM office user tickets / inbox emails to provide guidance and recommendations that adhere to Army and DoD policy.
• Review and interpret new Cyber security policy within the operating environment.
• Perform cyber risk assessments for non-standard solutions and organizational requests.
• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity tools and technologies for organizational impact.
• Ensure the organization is meeting DoD 8570 requirements.
• Complete software assurance evaluations and make approval/denial decisions based on residual risk.
• Assist IA staff with incident and spillage management.
• Write and review operational Cyber Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide quality customer service.

Required Professional Skills:

• The ability to execute detailed plans for cybersecurity projects
• Able to multi-task and work independently within a team environment.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity tools for perimeter security, vulnerability management, host based security, network monitoring, etc.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft, Apple, and UNIX operating systems
• Skilled with Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship, a Active Secret Clearance, and the ability to attain / maintain active Top Secret DoD clearance.
• Must be DoD 8570 compliant and maintain required certifications for an IAM II appointment.
• 4-8 years relevant IT experience with 2-5 of those years in Information Assurance and/or a Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to Information Assurance Management.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Mature, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work well in a group environment.
• Ability to maintain professional work appearance, attire, and positive behaviors.
  Customer friendly with excellent written, verbal and problem solving skills.
• IASO/ISSO/IAM experience.
• Experience evaluating and managing vulnerabilities for a DoD network.
• Experience with Army A&A processes.
• Experience leading meetings or training sessions.
• Knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Army Gold Master (AGM), and SCAP content/scanning.
• Knowledge of DoD IA tools (e.g., eMASS, Retina, Nessus, Host Based Security System (HBSS)).
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing software.
