But we take care of everyone who works here with everything from coaching to personal budgets and pay competitively. </p><p>You’ll be joining a company that’s having a huge positive impact with a high-performance culture where you can learn and grow, enjoy your career, and progress rapidly. </p><h3>About the role</h3><p>We’re looking for a <strong>Compliance Analyst</strong> to join our team and help us deliver our company mission by working directly with our Chief Information Security Officer to drive growth in this hands-on role at the UK's leading social impact start up. <br></p><h3>You’ll be</h3><ul><li><strong>Completing information security and privacy documentation for customers - </strong>responding to technical security questionnaires, privacy assessments, and follow up questions from customers.</li><li><strong>Maintaining our risk register - </strong>agreeing action plans with risk owners and following up to make sure our risk assessments are accurate.</li><li><strong>Owning vendor assessment - </strong>working with stakeholders across the company to identify new vendors, assess their role in the business and complete appropriate due diligence.</li><li><strong>Supporting sales and legal teams with questions related to our trust & safety practices - </strong>become a go to person in the business for handling queries related to information security, privacy, and compliance.</li><li><strong>Leading work to acquire new accreditations - </strong>as we grow we may need to comply with additional standards; you will have the opportunity to lead cross company pieces of work to develop policies and practices and engage with external audits.</li><li><strong>And more! This is a new function within the business, and as the company grows so will our remit.</strong></li></ul><h3><br></h3><h3>You are</h3><ul><li><strong>Experienced working with information security or privacy standards - </strong>you can clearly articulate how you've contributed to achieving and maintaining compliance </li><li><strong>Detail-oriented - </strong>we are externally audited and closely scrutinised by our customers. The person in this role needs to be able to spot and fix small mistakes and inconsistencies.</li><li><strong>Organised - </strong>capable of juggling multiple projects and priorities and keeping stakeholders informed.</li><li><strong>Technically-savvy - </strong>comfortable navigating dense technical questionnaires, and engaging with the details of how data flows across our tools and underlying product infrastructure.</li><li><strong>Self-motivated and proactive - </strong>when you see a problem you respond by looking for the solution.</li><li><strong>An excellent communicator and listener </strong>- you engage stakeholders, break down compliance nuances, and are an active listener.</li><li><strong>Humble, empathetic, hungry </strong>to make an impact.</li><li>Excited about the possibilities of <strong>tech and AI to bring change.</strong></li></ul><h3><br></h3><h3>Nice to haves</h3><ul><li><strong>Experience with risk management and compliance</strong>, specifically ensuring implementation of minimum viable controls.</li><li><strong>Certification in privacy </strong>- e.g., from International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) - is an added bonus.</li><li><strong>Project management capability </strong>- juggling multiple competing demands.</li><li><strong>Confidence in customer-facing situations.</strong></li></ul><h3><br></h3><h3>About Beam</h3><p>We’re a team of over 150 working from our beautiful, light-filled co-working space in Shoreditch and from home. </p><p>We’ve picked up an armful of <a href="https://beam.org/awards">awards</a> for our work, including one from our former Queen.
