So what do we exactly build? Okta CIC is an authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. Basically, we make companies’ login boxes safe, secure, and seamless for anyone logging in. Our mission is to secure the world’s identities so innovators can innovate. But it’s a big mission that requires a lot of teamwork.

We’re currently hiring a Full Stack Staff Software Engineer to join our Acquisition & Activation Engineering Team. This team is focused on supercharging the next phase of Okta CIC’s growth by owning and improving the products that help bring in new customers. Experimentation is critically important to this team, and we’ll hypothesize, execute, and review experiments to see if they are making a difference in how we bring in new customers.

You will:

  • Build new and maintain current features by contributing across the whole technical stack.

  • Design, build, and run experiments in a collaborate environment to affect different parts of the customer experience

  • Heavily influence the team culture and iterate upon the ways we work together.

  • Mentor team members and help build processes and patterns that set them up for success.

  • Collaborate across teams to solve technical and non-technical challenges.

  • Work primarily with React/Redux, TypeScript, NodeJS, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.

  • Debug and resolve production issues and implement fixes for them.

  • Work closely with Product and Design to determine and optimize user experience and information architecture.

You'd be an excellent fit if you:

  • Have a passion for learning and leading.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, where change is the only constant.

  • Are extremely comfortable designing, writing, and operating full-stack applications.

  • Have 5+ years of experience with experimentation/AB testing and the frameworks that enable it.

  • Are able to easily use React to rapidly prototype and turn around designs

  • Are very comfortable with NodeJS and RESTful APIs.

  • Have a deep understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript.

  • Have the ability to be self-directed and be effective working independently, yet feel equally comfortable contributing in a team environment.

  • Work well with technical and non-technical people to deliver high-value results.

  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Enjoy being part of a highly collaborative, remote-friendly environment.

  • Are able to use your significant industry experience to support more junior members of the team.

It is helpful, but not required, if you have experience:

  • Being part of distributed teams and work environments.

  • Working on a growth or onboarding team.

  • Significant experience with rapid prototyping front end designs

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:
$135,000$203,000 CAD
