Position Summary:
The Hilton Garden Inn in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, driving revenue growth, and enhancing relationships with key clients. This role is crucial in positioning the property as a market leader in the competitive hospitality landscape of Ridgefield Park.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue goals across all market segments, including corporate, group, and leisure.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, corporate clients, and travel agencies to secure repeat and new business.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the sales department budget, ensuring effective use of resources to achieve the best possible return on investment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials, campaigns, and events that align with sales goals. Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing strategies.
- Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to the General Manager and corporate leadership.
- Brand Representation: Represent the Hilton Garden Inn brand with integrity and professionalism in all interactions, ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
