Position Overview
 
The Ecommerce Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience to drive sales, enhance product visibility, and ensure a seamless customer journey. This role focuses on managing digital product catalogs, executing merchandising strategies, and analyzing sales performance to improve conversion rates.  The ideal candidate has a strong commercial mindset, expertise in web merchandising, and a deep understanding of digital shopping behaviors. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement promotional campaigns, enhance product discoverability, and continuously refine the website experience.  This position requires strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and proficiency in ecommerce tools, including Google Analytics and content management systems. A passion for product, fashion, and consumer engagement is key to success in this role.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Create and manage online product catalogs, including product images and descriptions.
Develop and execute online merchandising strategies, including product placement, cross-selling and upselling, and promotional campaigns.
Integration of data into the product information management system and onto online marketplaces of independent sellers.
Monitor and optimize product search results and the site's navigation to improve the customer experience.
Suggest functional improvements to increase conversion and facilitate the shopping experience.
Participate in various tests related to the addition of new functions on the website.
Update all web properties regularly with new content, including entering text and image-based content. Ensure the website is up-to-date and accurate.
Track and analyze sales performance data to measure progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Conduct competitive analysis and stay abreast of customer trends, technology, innovations, shopping behaviours and best practices.
 
Qualifications & Experience
 
3 years or more of experience in E-merchandising required
Bachelor‘s degree in business administration, marketing, online business or equivalent experience.
Commercially-driven with an experience in web merchandising (merchandising, A/B testing, internal search engine)
Strategic, tactical and operational thinking,
Computer skills and proficiency in Google Analytics, Office Suite (advanced Excel)
Experience in creating and editing web content through a content management system is an asset. Proficiency in Shopify is a plus.
Good knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Capacity to commit and deliver to strict timelines.
Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Passion for product, fashion, and consumer engagement.
