This is a hybrid role.
What will you do?
- Perform and oversee day-to-day operations within the Investment Operations team. This includes trade bookings, settlements, corporate actions, and daily reconciliations to prime brokers and counterparties etc.
- Provide support during launches of new processes or product
- Monitor and assess the department’s control environment; identify potential issues and their impact on internal controls and drive a course of action to mitigate risk
- Work to recommend changes and improvements to systems, processes, responsibilities, reporting etc.
- Coordinate testing of new technology prior to its production deployment, and communicate results to peers and management
- Manage and maintain relationships with business partners while overseeing service level expectations
- Support the Head of Operations in supervising and guiding the performance and growth of team members
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks or projects as needed
Who are you?
- University undergraduate degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience at a hedge fund operations or similar environment
- A proactive problem solver with previous experience in experience supervising and directing employees
- Strong experience and knowledge of fund structures across various asset classes
- Ability to work under pressure, work independently and prioritize competing objectives
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Highly motivated, eager to expand knowledge and embrace responsibility
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS and pivot tables)
- Familiarity with VBA and SQL are advantages
