Job Title: Fund Accounting Operations Analyst
Location: Boston, MA- Hybrid Schedule
Pay Rate: $32/hr on W2
Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension/conversion to FT

Hours: Typically, the hours are 8-4. Because the team is supporting APAC conversions, an early or later handoff meeting may take place

What does a "typical” day look like in this role? - The responsibilities can vary depending on the current project. The day will typically start with a kickoff meeting to set the plan for the day. Followed by reviewing the reconciliations to identify and communicate potential issues. Since the team is remote, there is a lot of communication through zoom/skype/email etc. There is usually an end of day huddle with the team to prepare for the handoff to the team in Sydney.

Will equipment be provided?

For in-office work, Client will provide workstation and all required equipment.
For any home-office work, Consultants are expected to provide their own phone/computer and have access to a reliable internet connection.

The Boston Conversion Team is responsible for converting outside clients onto bank's platforms and designing/implementing processes and controls in support of all daily production requirements. As part of this effort the team works to establish and maintain fund and account profiles in Bank's accounting system (FIS), based on a combination of client instructions, fund prospectus information and legacy administration books and records. The team works directly with the client, client service representatives, global hubs/utility groups and Boston Operations teams to manage the overall conversion of daily fund accounting services within specified timeframes all the while, maintaining a high degree of client satisfaction.

Process fund events; Client Conversions, Fund Launches, Closures, Mergers, In-Kinds and Asset Transitions and complete standard reconciliations.
Strong knowledge of Mutual Fund Accounting to include General Ledge accounting (Trial Balance, Sub Ledgers, Balance sheet vs. Income statement). The ability to determine downstream impacts of complex fund events.
Teamwork: Support team during conversions to include planning and testing prior to event.
Weekend availability is expected at times.
Flexibility – ability to work in a dynamic environment and accommodate changes in day-to-day workloads/requirements.
Proven reconciliation skills – ability to create ad-hoc reconciliations of external and internal Trial Balances, General Ledgers, Cash/Assets, etc.
Strong knowledge of Excel
