About the role:
As a SEO Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and optimization of our content to enhance our online visibility and drive organic traffic. As an integral part of our content team, you will collaborate with writers, and other stakeholders to create compelling and effective content that aligns with our brand voice and objectives.
What will you do:
- Editing and optimizing content for SEO, including website copy, blog posts, articles, and other marketing collateral
- Manage a pipeline of rewrites and new write ups
- Review and revise content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Conduct keyword research and incorporate relevant keywords strategically into content to improve search engine rankings
- Adept at designing and refining an efficient briefing process to streamline content creation workflows
- Delegating tasks to agencies and overseeing their deliverables
- Provide feedback and guidance to the internal product and content marketing team to improve their understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and algorithm changes to inform content strategy and optimization efforts.
What are we looking for?
Must haves:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in B2B SaaS/Tech SEO Writing
- Proven experience as a copy editor, content editor, or similar role, with a focus on SEO optimization
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail, grammar and comfort upscaling on more complex technical topics
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building strategies
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Wordpress- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs
Good to haves:
- Experience with optimizing product and services pages
- Experience with link magnet creation and optimization
- Comfort working with a product marketing organization
- Experience working on a sprint cycle
