In this role, you will be responsible for leading, training, developing, and coaching the inside sales support team in quoting, order processing, web orders, delivery coordination and follow up of customer’s orders.  Will champion continuous improvement in sales process optimization. Serve as the liaison between sales and operations on daily orders. Ensure the sales and margin goals are being met with orders processed by the team.  Assist our outside sales reps daily and help with quote/order requests to ensure workflow is maneuvering efficiently across all departments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities – Inside Sales Manager

  • Oversee the inside sales reps and receptionist in the daily operations of inside sales support.
  • Support our outside sales team and serve as the bridge between departments
  • Facilitate continuous improvement with the team to optimize sales processes and standardization of quoting, order entry and follow-up.
  • Lead hiring/training and development initiatives with the team for product and processes.
  • Responsible for all Walk-In Retail sales business.
  • Ensure full utilization of our ERP system (Ponderosa), Vendor & Company related software by the team.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing department and foster a team driven approach assisting our customers.
  • Responsible for all orders entered by sales team, ensure accuracy and pricing are correct.
  • Assist sales manager in development of plan and process to increase margins.
  • Work with production on researching inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain stock levels of catalogs and ensure showrooms are continuously updated with current products.
  • Liaison with production and sales on complex orders and quotes.
  • Assist with quotes as needed that are sophisticated and help with customer demand overflow.
  • Ensure all online web orders are reviewed by a designated person(s) on the team and process through.
  • Consult with customers after the sale to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
  • Monitor market conditions, product invocations, and competiors’ products, price, and sales.
  • Fosters an environment that enables profitable data-driven decision making and execution.
  • Engages directly with customers to help resolve any issues  

Qualifications

  • Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrates a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Millwork and Construction Knowledge: Proficient understanding of millwork products, construction processes, and pricing structures.
  • Communication and Presentation: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Quoting and Estimating: Skilled in estimating and quoting prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery timelines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook & Teams), email, and internet tools.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Organizational Excellence: Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Reliability: Dependable and consistent in meeting responsibilities and deadlines.
