CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build sustained, community-based response programs to natural disasters. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CORE GA provides free vaccinations and additional resources to disadvantaged communities and emerging hotspots around Georgia. This is accomplished through maintaining strategic partnerships with local health agencies and community-based organizations to reach high-risk populations in vulnerable areas.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain optimal organization and functionality within the warehouse environment.
- Monitor warehouse performance and uphold quality standards.
- Assist in leading a logistics and warehouse team to deliver unparalleled customer service.
- Uphold high levels of accuracy in your daily department operations.
- Validate accurate counting, receiving, and systematic inputting of items into a WMS.
- Verify the transfer of items into inventory upon their reception in the WMS.
- Coordinate the proper packing, labeling, and timely delivery of outgoing shipments.
- Monitor the burn rates of supplies and communicate to the Logistics and Warehouse Manager when replenishment is required.
- Oversee the task of keeping the technology inventory current, ensuring accurate custody documentation, and accounting for all assets.
- Ensure that all tech assets have the necessary applications as per organizational requests and that the devices software are kept up to date.
- Maintain proper storage of all inventories and that it is secured.
- Monitor and expedite the timely fulfillment of all operational orders.
- Coordinate and conduct semi-anual inventory audits, generating and forwarding reports to the Logistics and Warehouse Manager.
- Support in organizing items and materials needed to aid a deployment team that is set to respond to a natural disaster operation.
- Uphold adherence to safety practices and guidelines.
- Fulfill specific requests given by the Logistics and Warehouse Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of warehouse or logistics experience.
- Proficiency in the operation of a manual and electric pallet jack, forklift, and reach truck for pallet racking and moving.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Readiness to commit and adhere to the values, mission and vision of CORE.
- Excellent writing, reporting, and communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Capability to effectively communicate and foster positive relationships with team members, government partners and local authorities, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Hands-on and adept at finding solutions to challenges.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience to be permitted to drive a company vehicle.
- Must be able to pass MVR Check.
- Willing to work at a COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing facility.
