Description:

Background: Senior Data Architect needed for a leading global asset manager company. In this role, planning, developing, and refining future architectural models is essential to translating enterprise data needs into technical solutions.

Senior Data Architect Responsibilities:

Shape the Data Architecture through the implementation of analytical models such as BI, data warehousing, data mastering, canonical models, and cloud data patterns
Collaborate with business partners, architecture peers, project teams, and the vaster data architect organization while developing the Data Architecture
Contribute to the growth of BI and Warehouse strategies by promoting the use of new cloud, big data, and BI patterns
Develop roadmaps and technical designs that both align with business technology (data, infrastructure, applications, and security) standards, but also provide a springboard for the transformation of project requirements into detailed designs
Complete integrated hardware and software solutions that match performance, usability, scalability, reliability, security and business/functional requirements, and make sure that these solutions are risk-aversive with respect to hardware/software currency, performance/availability, security and information/transaction integrity
Mentor and hone the skills of less-experienced technical staff, and exemplify technical leadership in both regular and crisis conditions

Skills and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent work experience
7-10 years of relevant experience
Vast experience across architecture domains (data, infrastructure, applications, and security) with first-rate experience in at least one area
Knowledge of business-wide architecture and the utilization of an 'open mind' with respect to how it affects current and future technologies
Experience in the consulting realm, both internal and external, that involves the influence of technology and business leaders
First-rate experience in the architecture, design, application, and support of complex business solutions
Exposure to numerous, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and process improvements
