We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our credit analyst team. This position is crucial in assessing and managing the credit risk of corporate clients and syndication loans. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analytical skills, a solid understanding of credit markets, and the ability to make sound credit decisions in line with the company’s risk appetite.
Responsibilities:
- Credit Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, cash flows, and business models of corporate borrowers and syndicate loan structures to evaluate their creditworthiness.
- Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis, including ratio analysis, stress testing, and scenario analysis to assess risk exposure.
- Loan Structuring & Syndication: Work closely with the syndication desk to structure loans, considering the terms, covenants, and risks involved in syndicated loan facilities.
- Credit Reports: Prepare comprehensive credit reports, including risk rating, exposure analysis, and recommendations for approval or rejection.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Continuously monitor assigned credit portfolios to identify early warning signals and proactively manage deteriorating credit situations.
- Credit Committee Participation: Present findings and recommendations to the Credit Committee and provide justifications based on thorough analysis.
- Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to structure deals in a way that mitigates risk (collateral, covenants, etc.).
- Loan Documentation Review: Ensure all loan documentation is in accordance with approved terms and that risks are adequately addressed in the documentation.
- Market & Industry Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market conditions, industry trends, and economic factors affecting corporate borrowers and the syndication market.
- Compliance: Ensure all credit analysis and decisions are in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior credit analysts in developing their analytical skills and credit decision-making capabilities
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 8 years of experience as a Credit Analyst, with specific experience in corporate and syndicated loans.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, credit risk assessment, and ratio analysis.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of corporate lending, loan syndication structures, and current credit market dynamics.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and assess credit risks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses clearly and concisely.
- Problem Solving: Strong decision-making capabilities with a proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, including legal, compliance, and the syndication desk, as well as external stakeholders.
