You’ll also collaborate with Samsung Display Korea and other Samsung R&D centers in Silicon Valley and around the world.

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for taking over an extensive simulation platform that simulates the behavior of a display over its lifetime. The model is developed in C/C++ and MATLAB and is used to evaluate the performance of various image enhancement and compression algorithms.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose HQ 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time 

  • Understand the algorithms used in a display to compensate for different impairments and enhance the image quality.
  • Understand different compression algorithms that are used in display industry.
  • Maintain the simulation platform and develop new features as required. Perform simulations and optimize the code to minimize the execution time.
  • Collaborate with the compression and RTL teams to improve the quality of the algorithms and verify through simulation.
  • Ability to analyze, and interpret the simulation results and report to the team.

What You Bring

  • 10 years of hands-on experience in image processing algorithm development
  • 10 years of hands-on experience using C++ and MATLAB
  • Experience with compression algorithms is highly desirable
  • BS in EE or related fields (MS is preferred.)

What We Offer
The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training.

Base Pay Range
$90$125 USD
