The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 10-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the country tackling some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. Throughout your internship with a partner organization, Stand Together Fellowships hosts virtual professional development sessions every Thursday from 1-5 pm ET, wherein you will be mentored by seasoned professionals as you craft a capstone project on the topic that matters most to you.  Interns will receive either a $5,500 or $3,300 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (28 hours/week).
 
Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to apply in advance!

America’s Future Operations Internship 
 
About the role
America’s Future is seeking a part-time intern at our Washington, DC headquarters. The intern will assist all AF departments: Community, Development, Marketing, Administration, and Executive. The best fit for this role is eager to learn about all facets of a nonprofit organization.

This internship is largely in person at our office in Washington, DC. The intern will report to the Office Manager, but support the needs of the full team. They will receive a travel stipend for the metro.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research and logistics for AF’s array of programming
  • Support AF’s weekly Writing Fellows Program with the opportunity to participate
  • Support DC Hub with monthly events
  • Create content for AF’s social media pages
  • Assist in writing marketing emails and other materials
  • Assist with fundraising research
  • Database management
  • Assist with daily office operations
  • Write for the AF blog (optional) 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Detail-oriented
  • Organized
  • Customer-service skills
  • Satisfactory writing skills
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Proficient in Google Drive (preferred) 
  • Proficient in Zoom (preferred)
  • Graphic design experience is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, and Eventbrite is a plus
