Role: Senior Designer 

Location: London, England, United Kingdom

 

About the role:

Working in close partnership with our client, the Senior Designer will be responsible for leading and creating impactful and engaging design solutions across a mix of channels. You’ll have a great track record of delivering high value craft and be keen to challenge the work. Applying your own creative initiative, you’ll be constantly pushing creative boundaries to deliver best in class design to inspire and engage the client’s audience. 

What you will be doing:

  • Generating strong well-thought-through design and applying industry best practice to ensure impact 
  • Crafting award-worthy creative solutions for ATL, BTL and TTL campaigns – from branded toolkits to digital-first marketing activity 
  • Influencing and owning look-and-feel across all products in the client's brand portfolio 
  • Working collaboratively across teams on ideation, asset creation and implementation 
  • Working under direction from the creative and design directors as well as using  your own initiative 
  • Handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Managing workloads within agreed timescales 
  • Proactively monitoring quality, accuracy and consistency 
  • Staying on top of industry trends in art, illustration and typography
  • You will contribute towards Oliver’s drive for sustainability and change. We’d hope anyone joining our team would share our motivation to do better in terms of sustainability. We are always learning, so we look forward to you bringing your own creative approaches to the tackling the industry's sustainability problem
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Obsessed with impactful graphics, layout, communication hierarchy and idea generation 
  • Deep knowledge of typographic design and awareness of current trends 
  • Excellent understanding of brand guidelines and graphic design principles 
  • Familiarity with a range of channels and formats including print and digital OOH, print ads, CRM, social media and online content 
  • A keen eye for detail 
  • Ability to collaborate well with multiple stakeholders 
  • Great communication skills that allow you to sell ideas in an effective way 
  • Good understanding of working practices in advertising or creative media 
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with sharp brief comprehension 
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, plus Figma 
  • Keen sense of personal responsibility for quality control, presentation and accuracy  of all work  
  • A working knowledge of motion design and storyboarding would be a bonus  
  • 2+ years’ experience as a senior designer working in a marketing/design/advertising role
  • If you’re a senior designer with an impressive portfolio.
  • You’re also a proactive and independent creative thinker/craftsperson able to own a project from start to finish. And you’re interested in an opportunity to work in the client, via OLIVER’s in-house set up, to help them strengthen their brand and product presence in the competitive media landscape.
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
