Job Title: Automatic Press Operator

Position Summary: To operate a stamping press that automatically stamps parts in a continuous method.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities: (To include but not be limited to):
— Be able to operate the Automatic Press with a transfer.
— Be able to properly feed material into the die and start strip.
— Continually inspect parts for visual defects per Quality instructions.
— Record quality information per instruction sheet at Press.
— Inform Hi-Lo driver when more stock is needed.
— Assist Die Setter during set-up.
— Assist Hi-Lo drivers with loading coils into coil cradles.
— Follow all safety procedures.
— Keep work area clean.
— Perform maintenance checks as instructed.
— Know and follow the Company’s quality policy.

Knowledge Requirements:
— High school diploma or equivalent.
— Reading and writing ability to complete production paperwork.
— Ability to read, understand and follow instructions.
— Mechanical aptitude acquired through previous job experience.

Physical Demands:
— Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
— Regularly works near moving parts.
— Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
— Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
— Occasionally subjected to noise levels above 90 decibels.
— Occasionally exposed to temperatures above 80 F or below 70 F.
