As a Senior Design & Proposal Engineer – Lead , you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the design, development, and proposal of the systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting customer requirements, industry standards, and company objectives. Your primary focus will be on creating innovative design solutions, preparing technical proposals, and contributing to the growth and success of the organization. You will be responsible for reviewing all proposals for this region. Your will ensure the proper and timely techno/commercial proposal submission for your team working under your region. You are responsible for their grooming and training as well.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing / analyze RFQ with respect to technical & commercial requirement. Proposing Turn-Key solutions
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures relating to business conduct. Meeting all OEM ethical & legal standards with regards to commercial processes.
- Responsibly executing all international bids and proposals while Minimizing risk in all outgoing bids.
- Ensure Timely submission of Proposals in-line with Client requirements
- OEM & Vendor Coordination, Negotiations and cost analysis inline with Company’s Terms & Conditions
- Maintain Business Relationship with Vendors & OEMs and enhance Supply Chain
- Team Development (development of Subject Matter Specialist (SME) in the team) & Resource Management
- New Initiatives for Business by adding New OEM/Solutions
- Preparation of Prequalification, Tender Documentation (Technical & Commercial), Method Statements & Bid
- Preparation of Compliances, System Architecture/Topology, Project Schedules
- System Design (Sizing of system hardware & Software), Cost estimation and optimization in-line with RFQ requirements
- Providing technical and commercial pre-sales support to exceed strategic targets.
- Working well with international teams to drive customer-centric solutions and managing day-to-day departmental matters.
- Focusing on improving sales team effectiveness. Adding value by supporting international technical teams and develop integrated systems and tools.
- Aligned with all internal key stakeholders while Ensuring task completion within agreed timelines.
- Strategize effectively during the pre-sales cycle to mitigate risks and minimize the impact on project execution.
- Diagnose, document, and solve customer problems with seamless solutions. Extract and validate actual solutions with value delivered and pave the way for value propositions.
- Understanding the contractual terms & conditions and effectively negotiate with customers.
- Training the new team members with all the solutions available and also the whole team with the new solution introduction in the market.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
- 8-10 years’ experience minimum.
- Experience in Design & Proposals of below solutions:
- o Electrical & Instrumentation (Process, Fire & Gas Detection)
- o SCADA System
- o Solar System
- Good oral and written English.
- Good communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Oil and gas industry standards.
