About the team
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join the HCP Vault Secrets team. In this role, you will focus on developing capabilities for HCP Vault Secrets to enable integrations with other platforms and services as well as HashiCorp's suite of products. You will be involved in designing, prototyping, and implementing essential features, as well as ensuring optimal user experience and high quality code.
As part of the Vault Secrets engineering team at HashiCorp, you will contribute to providing reliable and user-friendly access to a cloud-native secrets management tool, catering to businesses and teams looking to manage and secure their infrastructure.
In this role, you can expect to…
- Collaborate remotely on a cross-functional team including Engineering, Product, and Design, to deliver excellent user experiences
- Develop, advocate for, and support new and existing features in the Vault Secrets product
- Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and architectural reviews across a wide range of stakeholders as part of your day-to-day duties
- Share your work around new features and workflows through demos
- Take frontend ownership of projects and drive them from ideation to production
You may be a good match for our team if you have…
- You have 4+ years of production experience working on frontend applications
- You have professional experience working with Javascript/Typescript, HTML and CSS
- You have familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
- You are excited to learn about and incorporate modern web features
- Experience integrating services with major Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience operating, maintaining, and deploying production UIs in a public cloud environment
- Openness to learn and grow through your peers
- Willingness to adapt to changes from team growth
- Experience using Ember.js is a plus
- Experience on implementing authentication and authorization flows such as OIDC is a plus
- Experience using Vault, Vault Secrets, or similar secrets management product is a plus

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$151,300—$178,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$138,600—$163,100 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$126,100—$148,300 USD
