Your future position..
Having recently expanded to S&D balances across grains and oilseeds, we’re looking for an analyst to join our research team and accelerate the growth of our offerings across agricultural research.
The role will involve fundamental supply and demand research for major grains and oilseeds towards Kpler’s S&D product. You will be working with a team of experienced analysts and build an understanding of physical commodities markets and trading. Your contributions will establish our balances as a reference in the market, empowering clients to navigate complex dynamics and seize opportunities with confidence. You will be empowered to grow and create your own space in commodities research by delivering insights and servicing clients based on your analyses.
Your mission is to:
- Collect and organize data from diverse sources promptly to maintain and expand our global supply and demand balances, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
- Lead initiatives to enhance data collection and analysis processes, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on product development efforts
- Build and maintain sophisticated quantitative models to improve forecast accuracy, directly influencing client decision-making and market strategies
- Work closely with experts across agricultural and related markets to integrate diverse insights, driving innovative research and comprehensive market analysis.
- Eventually build expertise in commodities, hold a view on the market and convey that view to internal and external stakeholders through discussions, reports and presentations.
It will be a match if you are or have:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in science, engineering or economics.
- At least 2 years’ experience analysing commodity markets (agriculture market exposure would be a huge plus).
- You are skilled at carrying out complex analysis across multiple datasets using appropriate tools (High competency in using Excel. Experience of using SQL, Python, R or Tableau is a plus).
- Experience producing insightful written analysis and presenting your findings to varied audiences.
- Fluent in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work and communicate in an international cross-cultural environment.
