What you will be doing:

  • Handle relationships with new and current suppliers (including talking to them everyday and developing a rapport).
  • Getting the weekly promotion items from the suppliers.
  • Organizing key commercial events such as Black Friday, Jumia Anniversary, and Mobile Week. 
  • Negotiating costs and payment terms with the suppliers.
  • Achieving the targets of revenue, items sold, gross margin, assortment, vendor base 
  • Getting new releases as soon as the suppliers have them.
  • Shortlisting and prioritizing key suppliers.
  • Handling pricing and assortment strategy​
  • Finding new suppliers, try to source and sell every product within your category.
  • Monitor stock levels and plan the purchasing policy well in advance.
  • Having an accurate knowledge of competition: who they are, what prices they have and their products.
  • Analyze consumer buying behaviour and predict future trends.
  • Producing Monthly sales reports.
  • Building an amicable user interface for our vendors and our customers

What we are looking for:

  • 4 years experience at least in the sales field
  • Excellent command of Excel, results-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of the market 
  • Initiative, dynamism, rigour and tenacity
  • Fluency in French and English
